President of Italy is Guest of Honour at the 2014 SME Assembly in Naples

We were honoured by the presence of HE Giorgio Napolitano, President of Italy at the 2014 SME Assembly, in Naples on 2 October, which is managed by Low Associates.

He was keen to lend his support to the efforts of the Italian Presidency and European Commission to promote growth through enterprise. He also attended this year’s 'Big Debate' session when the speakers debated whether entrepreneurs need more than just digital technology to be successful.

The SME Assembly brought together over 700 SMEs, business organisations, European, national and regional government, academia and the media. The delegates took part in a wide range of interactive and expert-led sessions on issues as diverse as TTIP; the role of design in business growth; and giving bankrupt businesses a second chance.

This year’s Assembly also included a number of firsts: the first Entrepreneur Expo featuring start-ups from across the EU; the first appearance of 'The Pitch' a session where would-be and start-up entrepreneurs presented the case for financial investment in their idea; and the first ever EC paperless conference for which Low Associates and our partner Hanover designed a dedicated app.
